Day 8: Weekends are the hardest!!!

Weekends are somewhat difficult for me! I don't have the busyness of the workday keeping my mind off the temptations that surround me. I especially have to be prepared and stay focused on my goals.
I started today with crispy cereal pancakes with Walden Farms maple syrup & a cup of Colombian blend coffee.     Robert made a big breakfast that I couldn't have so I had to actually eat something rather than a shake.
After breakfast I put 5 chicken breasts & a can of rotel in the crockpot for dinner. I love to wrap the chicken in romaine leaves. My family will use the same meat as taco meat in tortillas.
I had lots of little errands to run. I had to run to Target for something VERY important! I can't remember what that was, but it was important ;) 100$ later I came out with a new sweater, boots & a scarf! I was rewarding myself for a job well done. I had a warmed up chocolate shake with me so I wasn't tempted to grab something off plan.
My oldest son is in the AirForce & his 19th Birthday is this week. He is stationed down in Biloxi, Mississippi & it is sad for me to think of him alone on his Birthday. I compiled some of his favorite things (cupcakes, coffee, Swedish fish & balloons) & sent them in time for his Birthday. I think of him ALL the time & I couldn't be more proud! He has told me that he is happy that I'm sticking to this plan again:)
Noah had 3 Basketball games and the smell of popcorn hit me like a ton of bricks as I walked in the gym doors. Luckily I had celery & green peppers cut up in a baggie ready to go. I also had a peanut butter bar that came to the rescue as Robert grabbed a Snickers from the concession stand.
Another day completed! I have dodged a few bullets (food) and I'm proud that I have done this!!!

  1. Bob had popcorn last week and the smell was amazing! I had my IP snack while he munched away. Proud of you!
