Day 9:Sunday Funday!

Sunday mornings are pretty routine for me. My day started with coffee and church. I don't always eat breakfast as I LOVE coffee and I tend to drink more than I should.  Since I know how important it is to have 3 IP's daily I started with the new Raspberry Mousse (non restricted) and headed to church. Every Sunday I go to Newbo City market http://newbocitymarket.com/ to promote the local vendors and sample various flavors of Java :) I usually stop and get a cupcake and one for the road. I purchase some goodies from Sweetopia for the week and maybe a pizza for later. Not today, the coffee was enough of a satisfaction for me. AND, the cupcakes, pizza & chocolate covered bacon is not on Phase 1. It was a beautiful/brisk/sunny Sunday so I chose to sit outside away from temptations, drink my coffee and write my blog. I'm often so busy that I don't take time to myself. I was able to check some emails and read up on some other blogs that I follow as well.
I headed home to pick up Robert. We made plans to visit Lowes, Menards and Home Depot to pick out paint colors and flooring for our new house that we are moving into in a few weeks. Robert really doesn't care, but I took him along for some input. I took my Garlic and Herb non restricted crisps to eat as we drove to the store.  Robert nicely reminded me that I might want a piece of gum or 2 before talking to the sales associate. The Garlic Crisps are VERY strong in flavor!!! I told him THHHHHHHAAAANNNKKK YOU! He appreciated that :)!
My dad invited us down to Parlor City to meet him for dinner. Robert had started a ham in the crockpot earlier in the day, so we didn't eat but I never turndown time to visit with my wonderful Dad. He always has a story to tell and he makes me laugh! I also had to talk to him about the flooring and get his advice on some home improvements. We met and he tried to order me a bloody mary, I explained that I was on strict IP and that calls for NO drinking.  I enjoyed a glass of ice water with lemon and finished my crisps from earlier in the day. My will power was running low after about an hour and it was time to head home.
The smell of ham was amazing when we walked in the door! I wouldn't recommend ham daily but on occasion is okay. I also didn't add any sea salt or eat any pickles since the ham has so much sodium.  I enjoyed 8oz of ham and a side of mashed cauliflower and green beans. Robert made REAL mashed potatoes and green bean casserole (one of my favorites)for himself. I was happy with dinner and full!
After dinner I was craving something sweet so I made the crispy cereal as pancakes and added pumpkin spice seasoning. I added a tiny bit of Walden Farms Marshmallow fluff and rolled the 2 pancakes around the fluff. I stuck a tooth pick through the pumpkin roll and stuck them in the freezer for about a half an hour. Waiting for the 30 minute timer was torture! The satisfaction of the desert was totally worth it. While waiting I chopped veggies and placed in baggies for the week. I made 2 big salads and cooked a couple chicken breasts to have in case of an emergency dinner this week. Preparation is key on this journey!
As I have mentioned before weekends are hard for me! I am happy that I got through another one with completely following the rules and regulations of strict phase 1. This week I'm challenging myself to cut back a little on coffee, drink more water and go to the gym at least 3 times for low impact physical activity. I know I can do it! Pushing myself a little on this journey keeps me interested and engaged.
Have a wonderful week! Stay strong and keep motivated! It will all pay off :)!
